With Cadinot, the model and his surroundings blend seemlessly with colour and form to create a whole. His achievement as a photographer is that directing the models is completely natural in this wholly artificial environment, to be used as decoration. If you are an admirer of his celluloid work you'll recognise many familiar faces and places from the Cadinot universe.

His models give of themselves willingly as if directed on stage, his mastery of the lens allowing us almost to caress their skin. We share in their intimacy, their secret place charged with emotion, pushing the boundaries of modesty. They communicate without words, bodies in moments of near-eroticism upon which we feel we are intruders, or at least voyeurs. One thinks of Cocteau behind his mirrors.
